Expensive but convenient!
Rather expensive ... but convenient for EU Commission!

Better maintenance and staffing needed
Some examples: 1) The door handle of the bathroom was loose to the point of almost falling off (which could result in someone being locked in the bathroom with no way out). I reported this to the front desk and was assured that it would be fixed. It wasn't. 2) I wondered why the room was so dim, and only on the last day I realized that half of the overhead light bulbs were burned out and hadn't been replaced. I reported this too, but I have no idea whether it was fixed. 3) The only elevator was so slow that it was (much) quicker to take the stairs. 4) More than half the time there was nobody at the front desk. I realize that hotels in Brussels are vastly overpriced, but even by that standard, this doesn't seem like a good balance between price and performance.

Hotel very run down. Carpets were filthy. Reception was combined with neighbouring hotel. Breakfast was okay. Toilet was situated in such a way that you had to keep the door open to use it. Rough area.

We stayed 8 days in Hotel Siru, in Belgium. The room did not have any air conditioner and it became very warm inside, so we had to open the window for fresh air, but the area was very noisy and we could not sleep very well. The other thing, the guests in the hotel were very noisy and loud, and the hotel wall were not acoustic, so if you stay there and in the middle of night or your sleep somebody is shouting or screaming, be aware! The location and breakfast are good enough.

Siru is at best a middle market hotel which charged upper end price. I was prepared for this but not for an extra city tax; I thought I had paid for all in advance.
