Charming rooms and neighbourhood
We had a really lovely stay at the KPH. We stayed five nights and will be happy to return next time we are in London. These are rooms above a pub - so don't expect hotel service. That being said - the room was cleaned whenever we requested it and the staff were happy to exchange towels and to provide bottles of cold water (still and bubbly!). The room was a decent size for the UK and the bathroom was pristine with an excellent shower. Fresh muffins and apples were provided each day as well. The website says all the beds are King size. Ours was definitely a Queen. There were no noise issues from the pub downstairs at all and the neighbourhood is lively but not noisy at night. The location is really wonderful - literally steps from the tube and a block from Portobello road where we ate most nights. We opted for the pub downstairs on the final night and the food was really very good. During the heat wave, the air conditioning worked really well! Overall, great stay. Highly recommend if you are looking for a quiet, low key room with excellent access to the tube and a charming neighbourhood.

Located steps from Tube stop and Palmodoro Market Street. Free waters, yummy chocolate muffins and fruit! Restaurant & bar great and reasonably priced. But room serviced every 2 days w/o prior notice, and bathroom sink was plugged. But we would definitely stay there again!

Charming room, great pub/restaurant, friendly staff, fantastic location! Steps away are two coffee shops with bakery items, a pharmacy with very friendly staff members, trains, and a small grocery store next door. The chocolate muffins and filtered water (still and sparkling) that were provided was such a bonus. Great stay!
