Quiet and clean
I was surprised at how quiet it was. The only issue was an occasional child running down the hall way with the usual vocalization that children make in excitement or anger. The room could have used an additional source of light. Bed was firm, lots of pillows and surprising warm blanket. Provided breakfast was the usual motel fare. Coffee was fine.

I have stayed here multiple times for weeks at a time in the last couple of months so I'm familiar with the basic rates. However, this time the rate advertised on Expedia was greatly reduced so I thought that since this was a last minute booking for one night and they had space that they just wanted to try to fill some vacancies. When I questioned the rate that they placed on my credit card and even showed the desk clerk the Expedia rate on my computer, they refused to honor the advertised rate. Since I was already booked and did not have any other option for the night I was forced to pay the much higher rate.

Worn down and Dirty
Upon checking in, we asked if we could switch our room from 2 double beds to a King. We were given a king room that had wet carpet and a non-working AC unit. The next morning, our phone rang and the front desk person told us that we had to switch to a different room because this one was intended for someone else. Now I would have raised a little bit of a stink, however I realize that we had booked double beds and everyone makes mistakes. Plus, the current room with wet carpet and a non functioning AC unit was gross. So, we packed up our belongings and moved rooms. The double room had dry carpet and an old AC unit that didn't cool, but the fan worked. The beds in the double room were worn so much, that we sunk into them and rolled to the side. We had packed out swimsuits to visit the pool and the pool and spa areas were very run down. The pool had paint or plaster coming off all along the bottom and the spa was stained and dirty. Overall, this hotel was shabby and could use a deep clean and refresh.

It was fine. However, the breakfast seemed a little sparse in the variety dept. Some plain bagels instead of Cinnamon Raisin (esp since there was already Cinnamon Raisin bread there) would be appreciated.

The building definitely shows age, however the cost is also low, so it was a good value for the money. I had one issue with a neighboring room playing music too loud, bass was coming through the walls pretty loud, I asked the front desk to have them turn the music down and they did. I also greatly appreciated that this facility has pet friendly rooms, so while it's not a 4 star hotel, it is clean, the staff was friendly and helpful, I didn't have any other noise issues, and the cost was good, and the bed was comfortable.
