Profile: City Centre Dublin

City Centre Dublin is chock-full of sights to explore on foot, from the stone buildings of Trinity College to the cobbled streets of Temple Bar. Take a stroll up colorful Dame Street and enjoy a view of Christ Church Cathedral, Dublin’s oldest building, sitting atop the hill.

For a spot of retail therapy, navigate your way between luxury and high-street favorites on Grafton Street and Henry Street. Take a detour to the Creative Quarter and hunt for some of Dublin’s best vintage bargains. Then, rest your weary legs with a sit-down in one of the city center’s leafy parks.

Such a beautiful new modern hotel . The decor is insane and the room itself was so comfortable and luxurious. Excellent city centre location but there was no noise so excellent sound proofing on the rooms .

    Above and Beyond

I stayed not only once, but twice after another lodging failed to provide advertised amenities. Both times I was greeted by friendly and accommodating staff, especially Nikita and Luke. The room was comfortable and I loved being able to order room service or have food delivered to the lobby during covid. It has been well over a week since I left for the second time and it is still a highlight of my trip to Ireland. In a world where everyone is hustling, having staff go the extra mile to help you be that give travel suggestions or help you get a photo to remember your trip by, they checked all the boxes. It was the perfect way to start my vacation as a first timer to Ireland. Should I be lucky to return, I would seek out this property first and foremost.

  • 8.0.Very Good

    Very enjoyable but not “outstanding”

The hotel is nice and modern, the rooms were clean and well appointed. The layout of our room was a little unusual because the bathroom was effectively in the bedroom, with a separate door for each of the toilet and shower cubicle. The room was relatively small but very clean and comfortable. Although room service was offered on a 24/7 basis there were no menus in the room (understandably due to Covid) and the room service menu was not available on the ‘app’ given at check in. We had to move rooms due to a faulty toilet and then in the second room the air conditioning did not function properly. Overall the stay was enjoyable and the hotel was very smart but not quite up to the “outstanding” reviews that tempted us in. There were some 5* hotels on the site that would’ve only cost perhaps £100 more over 2 nights and we would probably try one of those next time before returning.

Pros Friendly staff, nice decor + comfy bed. Cons Smallest hotel room I have ever stayed in. Genuinely tiny! Poorly laid out with a TV around the corner. Half of the screen can't be seen from one side of the bed. Window directly faces a private appartment at close proximity so you cant open curtains without feeling like you are sitting with the neighbours in their living room. Not worth any more than €80-90 and there are still better options in Dublin at that price. Restaurant was empty despite booking a table being encouraged. Menu severely lacking and the food was mostly tasteless with small portions. Vegeterians can have the one tastless vegetarian hot meal on the menu or a salad. Dessert was actually embarrasing. 1 x biscuit on a plate with sauce. If this is the standard for the rooms at this hotel, they need to seriously reconsider their pricing as no amount of luxury furniture will over shadow the cupboard we had to sleep in. Advised on check out that we would receive a follow up email on our concerns about the room but this has not happened as yet.
