Room was spotless and comfortable, service at front desk was friendly and efficient, and the food at the in house restaurant (dinner) was excellent. There was some sort of commotion, sounded like a drunk and agitated person outdoors outside my window, at night, but it was brief and other than that it was a very quiet room.
The updated bar in the lobby made for a great atmosphere. Rooms were comfortable. Great staff!
On arrival we were informed there would bean extra 12.99/day parking. We arrive back from our outing to find that no one had cleaned our room, emptied the garbage, picked up the used towels or restocked to cups and coffee. We had not been advised that this would not be done because of COVID. We requested towels etc and I had to clean the bathtub to have a bubble bath. Very disappointed with the entire experience. The bed cracked so loud when one of us rolled over that it would wake us up. The bathtub had been painted instead of changed during the renovation. The paint is peeling, pink mould in the corners and the bottom of the shower curtain liner was not clean and did not smell fresh. I used to stay at this motel once a month when I was travelling for work during a 5 year period. It has decreased to the point that I would not likely stay again or recommend it to anyone.
The only fault i have is that parking is $12 per day above the nightly rate
Delta hotel did not honour the StayCation rate- the extra parking costs which I was told was included in the price total. The bathtub was extremely dirty at the bottom- unable to bathe my children in it. The constant loud yelling up and down the hallways and slamming doors scaring my children and keeping us awake from 11:30-2am. If you want an overpriced hotel where you won’t sleep and have a dirty tub- this is the place to book.
The staff were friendly, accommodating and courteous.
The room was nice and clean, and there were quite a few fun things to do in/around the hotel. However, we were told in the booking that there was "breakfast included", which really meant that there was breakfast available for purchase, and we were charged a $280 deposit fee for not having a credit card at checkin, which hadn't been mentioned anywhere before-hand and was more than the cost of our actual room. We did get the deposit back after our stay.
Probably the best hotel in Atlantic Canada!! Watch out for the sneaky car parking charge they try and get you with?? $18 to park in their parking lot?? Totally ridiculous.. try parking just next door. Leaves a really bad taste and it feels like they are taking advantage.
Outside pool area was great to hang out at.
This hotel has been a favorite of ours for years. The recent renovations were wonderfully done, although we did miss DJ Purdy's pub. I always feel spoiled by the staff and find they always go above and beyond to be pleasant. . The King water view room is nice and roomy. The food at the Dip and the new pub was delicious! Every meal was great! Literally have no complaints about our stay here.
