Leonardo Royal Hotel Baden-Baden

A very nice hotel, our 1 night stay was too short, traffic on the Stuttgart autobahn BAD. Arrived late , the restaurant quality food, Facilities good.

The hotel staff were so nice from the check-in to sitting at the bar for an evening glass of wine. The food was also great. The location was perfect, quiet but a quick walk to downtown where you have everything you could possibly need. It was easy to find off the highway and the parking was easy and convenient.

We tried to check-in around 1600 hrs, but there was no parking available. We were turned away by an employee in the lot. When we asked where we could park, the employee just waved us away saying it was full. We called the front desk and was asked to be put on hold for a few minutes while they checked in a guest. After the few minutes, the front desk person returned and we explained how we tried to check-in, but was turned away at the parking lot since it was full. The employee said it was common for hotels in Baden-Baden to not have any parking available at all. We asked for suggested places to park in the area and was told to just look for street parking near the hotel on our own. We drove to two parking lots that were also full and found parking in the 3rd parkhaus. It was very frustrating after a very long drive from France to be turned away and difficult to find parking. Booked a 4- star hotel to be pampered, but did not get the 4- star start that we expected and were very close to canceling the reservation. When we finally checked-in and got our room, the perfume smell was so strong that we had to sleep with the door open to air out the room.

Booked last minute on our travels. Room and the bathroom were spacious and spotless with the bonus of a balcony.Tea and coffee making facility. Very very comfy super king size bed and the bedding was super clean. Highly recommend the hotel, we would have used the pool if we had time!

Lovely hotel within easy walking distance of town. Parking on site. Lovely room with balcony. T.V had a number of English speaking channels including BBC and ITV. Breakfast well organised and plentiful. Staff all welcoming and helpful. Even though we didn't use it the pool it was open with restrictions due to pandemic but procedures in place looked welll organised.Will definitely visit again and actually looking forward to it.

Very comfortable Slightly dated in areas like the bathroom, aircon couldn’t really keep up. But an excellent room, very spacious, very good breakfast and wonderful service. On site parking very welcome although hard to find space

In a good location, not far from town, within walking distance, spacious rooms with balcony, coffee making facilities, good shower

Like the fact this hotel has secure parking, and is a modestly priced decent hotel about a day’s drive out from Calais en route to skiing in Austria.
