Everything was good there was just some thing going on either in the parking lot or in the house next-door or in the hotel… People were cranking music I could feel the bass, talking having a party on a Wednesday night . Usually I don’t mind I love music and fun, but I really needed to sleep and I couldn’t.
I have a very hard time walking. When the desk person told me my room was on the opposite side of the motel. I asked if I could get a room closer, the reply was no. There wasn't very many cars in the lot.
No breakfast. Covid is not an excuse sorry. If Pizza Ranch and every other buffet restaurant can be open, you can serve your guests some breakfast. Poor excuse just to save $$. You should lower your rates if you refuse breakfast
This is the 3rd time staying at this hotel I should have known better and remembered how it was after the last 2 times. I reserved the room online and paid when I arrived they wanted a card I asked What she needed the card for it had already came out of my account she told me no it didn’t that it was just a hold (not true according to my bank account) then she charged my card again for $100. So she was not honest with me at check in the reason she wanted my card was to make a second charge for lability purpose. I understand this but she should have been honest and I don’t understand why this hotel insists on charging and complaining the charge and not just putting a hold on the card then releasing it after the room is checked out and cleaned. I looked and the last 2 stays I had to call weeks later and ask if there was any damages and why they had not credited my account back after my departure. (I hope I do not need to do the same after this stay) I feel like that should have a better system for this and hope other guests pay attention to the charges.
I enjoyed staying here. There was nothing too special about the room but I greatly enjoyed the pool, hot tub, and arcade. The location was nice as well, as there was shopping and food opportunities close by.
My son plays for a hockey team in Des Moines and we have always stayed at this Days Inn. I can see that the hotel has been updated, is clean and the price vs hotel is a good value.
There was a sign on counter saying breakfast was from 6am-10am. Pre packaged items would be on the counter (due to covid) ...at 930 am there was no food out. Pool sign says 8am-10pm (use at own risk, due to covid) at 9 pm it was closed already. Check out was at 11am. Pool was not open, no lights on at 1030 am. Kids were kind of disappointed
Everything was fine although some guests were loud and having a party or something late at night.
Pool closed early there was no breakfast.
