Great weekend stay

Poor
Very Dissapointed
This hotel should be ashamed of itself, you ever feel second hand embarrassment for someone? We arrived to the hotel after traveling for 10 hours to attend our friends wedding that was happening at the hotel as well. When we arrived they couldnt find our confirmation, even after i handed them my printout and had hotels.com call them. They made us sit in the lobby for over 45 minutes while they looked at what happened to our reservation. All our weddi friends wanted us to join in all te festivities but we were kept hostage in the lobby. They ended up finding it, when i asked what the problem was, they laughed nervously and mumbled something. They kept repeating that it was neccessary for them to find the confirmation otherwise we would be charged for these nights. The morning of checkout they slid an invoice under our door at 6AM wanting $400 dollars, for 2 nights and as well as charged us 10 dollars for a water. Our room was never cleaned or taken care of the whole stay we were in there for. Noone had stepped foot in our room, yet they were convinced we took a water, there is no weight sensitive sensors, the waters were on a nightstand. As soon as i saw the water in my room from entering the room the first time, i jumped back from shock and stated im not even going to look at the water,i rather dehydrate in the sahara dessert vs paying 10 dollars for water. They charged anyway, even though we didnt touch them, along with 2 extra nights. Stay away

Very Good
Weekend in D.C.
Nice Hotel, clean and service was good. System was down so they had issues with check in and had to take us up and let us in our room. Beds weren’t comfortable, very firm in my opinion.

Great hotel
My daughter and I stayed for two nights while visiting local universities. The hotel was very clean and modern. The room was very nice and spacious. I didn't care for the pillows but that is just a personal preference. We couldn't get the room as cool as we would have liked with the air conditioner but it was fine. We like it super cold at night, again a personal preference. All of the employees we interacted with were helpful and accommodating. We sat outside one night and had some snacks and drinks - it was beautiful. Comfy furniture, fire table... just a great ambiance. I would definitely stay at the Fairmont again.
