The Best in Washington
This is a unique hotel in Washington. I've stayed here twice now. I've looked at many others, but this one is historic, independent, and the staff is knowledgeable, and good at getting taxis, etc. The location is tough to beat, so central. They said "welcome back" when I checked in, which was impressive, because I stayed a full 2.5 years before (they must do a fine job keeping records in the computer system).

Weekend at Lombardy
From check-in to check-out, we had a truly great experience staying at Hotel Lombardy which felt like we were staying within a touch of Washington history. The location to the sites was ideal, and the front desk staff was helpful with explaining changes in service due to COVID, which all in all did not negatively disrupt our stay. Would stay here again and recommend to others.
