Unfortunately this hotel was one of the hotels serving for quarantine during Covid-19. So my experience may be a bit a-skew as there were army and police in the foyer which made the place feel a bit weird. The room was OK though

Centre of cairns pretty much.. short walk to esplanade eateries, casino and waterfront. No restaurant yet, can get a takeaway breakfast. Rooms ok, a bit dated. Probably need renewing. Balcony is ok. Not private as you can see the balconies each side of you and we had smokers beside us so spent little to no time on our balcony, and had to keep our door shut because the smoke came in to our room. Idk. Maybe they could ask if your a smoker and put em together. 😬😂. Above all pretty good couple of nights.
