Centrally located hotel in Kathmandu
Aloft is located in the heart of Thamel, which is where the majority of shops, restaurants and bars that cater to foreign travellers appears to be concentrated. There's a shopping centre attached to the hotel and getting a taxi was easy. The onsite restaurant (Nook) and the bar (WXYZ) were good. I would stay here again next time I'm in Kathmandu.

Location is superb, right in the Thamel. Great room with a comfy bed, wonderful rain shower and I got a city mountain view, which was excellent. WIFI was SUPERB! 70-75 mbps download and upload, was the only place in Nepal where I got to finish some work and download shows. Breakfast was OK , dinner buffet was good. Rooftop pool had amazing views, though could have been cleaner. Service was top notch, from every staff member. Two elevator broke down during our stay, which made waiting there a torturing experience.

Hotel located in good location and linked to a shopping mall so you can have other food options. Although Resturant are also limited in the mall. Room is acceptable with good size working desk and bed. However some part of the room seems worn and may need some “refreshment”. Hot water is good and powerful.
