Hampton Inn Cedar Falls Downtown

Check in was supposed to be at 3pm. By 7pm, the hotel said they didn’t have a room clean and it would be at least 2 hours until they could get one cleaned. There was no communication about a delayed check in time until we arrived at the hotel, and then were told we’d have to wait until at least 9pm to check in. They did not offer a refund, a discount, or any compensation for the inconvenience. The manager was not on site and did not answer phone calls. We did not stay at this hotel.

This is a fairly new hotel, and has nice rooms. Two major issues were their shortage of manpower, and their heating issue. They did not have adequate custodian help, so our check in time was 3:00pm, and our room was actually not ready until 8:00pm. It was also a very cold weekend, and their heating system did not seem to be able to keep up. Our room did not get over 64 degrees, and many people claimed that theirs did not get over 60. That was the whole time we were there for 2 days. Their fitness room never got over 45 degrees. They never got this addresses over the two day period.

Parking lot wasn't cleared off ice as well as it could have been, but otherwise stay was great. Obviously still new, so very clean. Will be my new go-to in Cedar Falls.

Breakfast was terrible. Bananas were bad Warm milk Warm yogurt.

Hotel was beautiful and comfy but the the service was not so great called several times for the front desk no answer, reserved a room but had to wait even though we went in forty minutes after check in time and waited ten more minutes, sidewalks covered in snow and ice and didn't clear them until we told them when we check out.

We had a wonderful stay at the Hampton Inn Cedar Falls Downtown. Just needed a get away for our 30th Anniversary. Our room was very clean and the view - WOW. There were very few guests and we felt like we had the place mostly to ourselves. Breakfast was adequate for COVID-19 concerns. Lots of single serving options. Hampton Inn has the best coffee. There were hand sanitizer stations everywhere. Stickers on doors showing that the room was sanitized. We have only one complaint which is the same complaint for every hotel we've stayed in this year - we don't need room cleaning services - we are pretty easy guests - but it would be nice to have somewhere to drop off trash - 2 tiny trash cans are not adequate when we eat so much delivery or take-out food out of necessity. A large trash can to drop things off near the elevator would serve this purpose.

The staff was amazing rooms were clean and it is in a great location. My daughter will be moving to Cedar Falls later this year so we will be staying there again.

Very clean all around!! They went above & beyond with sanitizing rooms & trying to maintain social distancing guidelines. I will definitely be booking a room at this location again in the future.

Great location, walking distance to downtown shops and restautants. New and view of the river if requested. My only issue was shower stall outside corners weren't as clean as it could be.
