Complementary big bash tickets would of been a good outcome. Onsite parking was a mess during the big bash match
The check in was efficient, with good details of services, the room was 421 : cathedral view suite: but you had to stand at the window to see it ! new , amazing automation, clean and very well appointed. surprised us to see almond chips from the USA. we would love to see SA sourced produce: we make excellent Gin, even whiskey, ! Hotels.com price and bonuses were excellent The breakfast service and options were excellent overlooking the oval on a sunny day
We only stayed 1 night but it was excellent. A bit annoying that the bar was closed during the cricket game for guests, but they compensated with free drinks in the front bar, which was excellent of them. Rooms were great and very clean and well designed and maintained. Only a short walk to other venues, Casino and restaurants etc. good location and would be perfect if you were attending a sports event of soemkind at the same time.
As you would expect for a recently cometed motel, room was awesome, bed comfortable and the technology all up to date. I fail to get my head around the ridiculous costs of in room stock. The room was quiet, noise insulation is great. On site car parking under the oval is good, though costly, but i guess all city motels are similar. I didnt get Valet parking and my fee was $29 overnight. I would recommend this hotel, despite the car parking cost. Its proximity to the oval, the torrems and the retail sector of Adelaide is great.
I read the mixed reviews for this hotel before I booked it, but gave it a try. For a 5-star hotel, it misses the mark in a few areas. The bedside tables are just cylinders, with no drawers. I don't recall seeing any drawers in the cupboard either. Everything in the room except the TV is controlled by a tablet or control panels on the wall. The control panels are not intuitive and are dimly lit with blue light. The font on the tablet is very small and cannot be zoomed. The tablet serves as a phone as well, but the volume is not very loud. The TV is difficult to use. I had a second room booked for my elderly parents. I had to do everything for them. The room service menu for breakfast is OK - IF you want a full cooked breakfast. There is no option for the basics, such as toast. The continental option comprises pastries. My mum just wanted toast with butter and jam or vegemite. There is no option to order this. I had to seek the staff's assistance. As it turned out, the kitchen does not stock jam or vegemite. We used valet parking because we were told there was no self-parking option that would allow unlimited entries and exits in a 24 hour period. There is only one lift that services the floors where the rooms are. This delayed checkout, especially in the context of social distancing. The hotel is well located if you're there for an event at the oval, but the city is 10-15 minutes away by foot. It was OK, but I would not stay there again.
Beautiful hotel. Room service staff were very friendly. However for a 5 star hotel I didn’t expect my dirty dishes would still be in my room when I arrived back after a day out, I also ordered something from reception which never arrived, only ever 1 staff member at reception so was often left waiting, the beds are too soft/ not supportive and the pillows were massive so I wasn’t comfortable at all. Perhaps as it’s just opened it’s ex
Have stayed in most hotels in Adelaide and this is by far my favourite. Beautiful views, great staff, amazing food. Will definitely be back.
Amazing view and supper modern. Very happy with my stay and a true state of art hotel.
Excellent hotel in Adelaide oval grandstand...rooms are excellent, not large but ok, restaurant/bar overlooking the oval is brilliant.
