Rodeway Inn, Austin

I've been in worse.
One night stay, although least expensive, will think twice about staying here until conditions improve. The establishment is older and undergoing a renovation and is adjacent to a gas station and frontage road. The renovations and process looks haphazard and low budget with debris in parking lot because of large trash bin that is in middle of it taking up spaces. Elevator needed to be swept because it looks like they use it to remove the building materials. Finally workmanship of renovated rooms was very substandard and not professionally done. To be fair I want to add one final comment, I was a little concerned when I checked in to see a patrol car in the parking lot, with that said, stupid me, I accidently left my truck unlocked overnight. Surprise, nothing was taken or disturbed.

Horrible hotel
When we arrived at the hotel at 3pm, we were expecting to have the room ready, since check in time is 3pm. The room was not ready until 4pm, so we had to wait for an hour. The condition of the hotel room was horrible. It had a very bad smell. The sheets were not clean, the bathroom was disgusting. In the parking lot of the hotel there were drug dealers, homeless people talking to themselves, etc.
