Everything was fine.
Very noisy and had dirty bag of towels left in the room.
The rooms were a bit dated and wore out but generally clean. The casino had a lower ceiling and it felt like a basement. My daughters and girlfriend felt a bit of creepiness in the room. Maybe it was being on a higher floor and not kid friendly but hey it’s a casino. The Mexican food place was below average. Under pandemic conditions I felt the casino staff a bit on edge at first but they eventually warmed up. The front desk was quick and efficient. I liked the slots it’s too bad the non smoking slot area was the best slot area. The card readers on the machines kept abandoning my card. The graveyard bartender was awesome. The place overall felt like it was running on fumes and was overpriced for an area of town that’s supposed to be the next great area in Reno. We will see.
Your room heater is too loud if on.your shower is no hook you need to use your hand to use your shower and my five years old daughter found the gum in the clock table near to bed and touch her & tell to me & Ian very mad because you never know who have a corona virus or not
Booked a reservation online a week and a half in advance and paid for 3 queen sized rooms under one credit card and one name, while booking the website asked for who will be staying in each room assuming that due to COVID and the pandemic that this was the hotel’s way of keeping track of how many people were expected in the building for safety and health precautions.. however upon arrival and check in I was told our rooms were not ready. Check in was at 3, we arrived at 430pm, we were told to come back an hour only to be told that my family had to be separated in different towers with 4 small children. they said same floor accommodations are a request and not a promise, we drove 5 hours in traffic to also be told each person from the listed rooms had to check in separately. After speaking to the assistant manager she still did not offer any accommodating solutions nor was apologetic for the consistent inconveniences. We have always booked from Hotels.com and have never experienced this much unprofessionalism or treatment. Hotel emphasized that this is what happens when you book through a 3rd party and not directly with them. To even say such a thing insinuates my business is not important or prioritized over someone who would book directly with their hotel and that is absolutely unacceptable. Most likely never to go back to the Sands Regency hotel again.
We have been at different hotels in the past. This was hands down the most awful experience. The place stank, in dire need of upgrading and has absolute minimal amenities. The guests on the floor were very loud and obnoxious at all hours of the night, the people who worked at the sands were friendly enough, but we will never stay at the sands again.
It’s was ok not the best for the price. Price was not bad but I’ve stayed at better hotels for cheeper
Very clean.
Just needed a clean and reasonably priced hotel fir a next morning flight out of Reno, and the Sands Regency filled the bill nicely. Older hotel, but clean & comfortable, easy parking, friendly employees. Casino is more of a locals place, which was fine too.
It wasn't that pleasant and not even that clean .I booked for a king bed but at the time of check in they gave me two queen bed room which was not suitable for us
