would stay with company, different location
The hotel itself is gorgeous. The staff is wonderful, when you can find them. Check-in went well, so I thought. The staff let themselves in our room as my son was trying to sleep. Trying to explain that there system did not have us checked in and she wanted to make sure the room was clean and ready for the next guest. That left me with an uneasy feeling. What if we weren’t in the room? Would we had some of our personal belongings stolen from us? There was no safe in the room. But this happened 2 hours after we had already checked in. There was also an unwanted hitchhiker in the bathroom, a roach. We kept all of our bags off the floor. With the hope that we did not bring any carriers home. Bag breakfast was ok. During checkout time there was no one at the desk. I stood for 10 minutes before I decided to just leave. After a few minutes, I did call to make sure they were aware that we had checked out.

They upgraded my room for free. Only issue was it smelled like smoke. Was clean and in order otherwise. When my car battery was dead in the morning the front desk had some jumper cables and helped me jump my car.

This particular hotel in Altoona Iowa was absolutely amazing!! The room was spectacularly clean even for my OCD .. LOL , mattresses were very comfortable that even with my husband and his bad back had a great nights sleep!! I definitely will returning back to this particular hotel in the future!!
