DORMERO Hotel Hannover

Pleasant stay. The hotel is very modern with free drinks in the minibar and snacks at the reception.

This place is in no way a 4.5 star property. I travel extensively in many parts of the world and have a lot of experience with 3,4 and 5 star hotels and would classify this as a hotel as a 3 star hotel. The room had a dysfuncional AC, that left the room at a sweaty 24.6 degrees C (76 F) in the middle of the night, forcing us to open the window in the middle of a noisy thunderstorm. The room was clean, but the shower had no soap, shampoo or conditioner. All that was there was a general "soap" container to be reused by many guests and that one was empty anyway. If you are looking for a cheap 3 star hotel and it isn't summer, by all means get a room here, otherwise I would strongly recommend spending $30 extra for a real 4 star hotel.

Room was is very bad shape, stains on walls, tattered furniture, not properly cleaned (we found broken glass on the floor). The service was good - the front desk was very friendly and helpful, but the hotel in general is just in super poor shape - NOT A 4* HOTEL! Maybe 3 at best. Room gets hot and the air con is weak, not a great combination. Pillows and duvet are synthetic so they get very warm. Also I ruined my shirt because of their iron ( didn’t notice that the iron had a stain).

Beim Check in war der Mitarbeiter nicht sehr freundlich, man wurde nicht herzlich empfangen, sondern nur schnell abgefertigt. Über das Hotel hat man auch keine Infos bekommen. Die Rezeption war nie besetzt. Man konnte nur eine Handynummer anrufen und dann kam endlich ein Mitarbeiter. Telefonisch war das Hotel überhaupt nicht erreichbar. Auch auf E-mail Anfragen zu den Hotelzimmern gab es keine Antwort. Das Hotelzimmer war sehr schön. Das Zimmer war sehr ruhig und das Bett sehr bequem. Allerdings war es etwas staubig im Zimmer. Im Kühlschrank gab es drei kostenlose Getränke. Das Zimmer wurde nicht aufgeräumt, obwohl wir während unseres Aufenthalts darum gefragt hatten. Die Kaffeemaschine in der Lobby war an einem Tag kaputt. Der Parkplatz wurde uns für einen ganzen Tag berechnet, obwohl die Parkzeit weniger als 8 Stunden betrug.

Overall very happy and the location for our pruposes was perfect.

The location is excellent. Close to city and transport links. Our initial impression was spoiled by the fact that we were told our room was ready. When we got to the room, the bed had been changed but not much else (Bins unemptied, minibar and toiletries depleted, toilet not cleaned, room not swept). That said, when we told the staff, it was sorted straight away. We went out for a few hours and came back to a clean and serviced room. Unusual hotel - great, hi-tech room (if you can work out the lighting arrangements). It is sort of cross between a hotel, venue, nightclub, bar - not sure where it is trying to place itself in the market. There is a bar (bit like a nineties 90 club), but there was massive range of drinks and the staff were more than helpful. The drinks menu amused us - full of half naked men and women, a bit S and M - weird really, but funny too. We didn't eat in the hotel. Breakfast was a very expensive (we thought) 20 Euros. Plenty of good eateries in the city. Mondays to Fridays, there is an awesome bakers next door but one, for breakfast. Would I go back? Yes, but I'd look elsewhere too. It was all just a bit odd. Nicely odd, but odd!

Awesome hotel. Stayed one night in Hannover and would stay there again! Room was super clean, the bed was extremely comfortable and the staff is very accommodating.

Need better air conditioning in the street side. Opening the window is very loud and the room was hot and stuffy. All else is great.
