Basic. And nearly wasn’t allowed to check in!
Long wait to check in and when I got there, I was told I couldn’t check in without photo ID. I had prepaid the booking and this wasn’t mentioned in my email from the hotel confirming. I did not have photo ID so the dismissive man on reception tried to turn me away. When I pointed out this was a safety issue and I didn’t have money to pay for a different stay, another member of staff intervened and allowed me to show a photograph of my passport. I was then sent to a hot, windowless room that I assume was next to a club or function room, without a window I couldn’t tell but there was a heavy booming bass vibrating the room. Functional, but would not recommend this place to anyone. And take photo ID!

2/10 Poor

AVOID, AVOID, AVOID!
On arrival we had a form to fill out, unsure of what this for was for due to staff not explaining. We get out key card and get to our room where we find the main light doesn't work. We also found that one of the pillows was dirty and I needed some extra due to having surgery so we went and asked reception and was sent away and told it would be delivered, we waited an hour with no hope so left for dinner, came back and asked at reception and once again was told someone would be sent up, it finally resulted in my partner having to take the dirty pillow down and asking again for them, the man at reception didn't understand well so struggled to understand what she needed and AGAIN she was sent away, finally recieved them at half 9 which was over 5 hours after initially asking for a couple of pillows. The decor in the room was outdated and looked like we had went back to the 70s, it was a depressing room. There was rubbish left outside people's rooms for 5+ hours. The room was loud with a rumbling noise, eventually this stopped so we believe it must have been from a laundry room nearby. The bed in the room was also on wheels with no brake system so had to be very careful getting on and off. The door doesn't close on its own, sometimes will sit on the latch so double check. Next morning we noticed a few sockets weren't working which had been working fine the night before, unsure if the broken light had tripped them. Also no control of the heating in the room.
