Flamingo Vallarta Hotel & Marina

It was fine. We were in PV for a Dr’s appt.so it was a quick visit. Couldn’t seem to get Wi-Fi but didn’t ask about it so our problem. Lovely room overlooking the Marina and pool. Have stayed before and will stay again. Had a quick coffee in the morning at the restaurant good service hot coffee.

The grounds of this hotel are beautiful and the views of the marina fantastic. We did not opt for the all inclusive package as there are many outstanding restaurants (can highly recommend Porto Bello, we ate there twice) within easy walking distance, but we did sit in the palapa restaurant for a glass of wine on our arrival. We enjoyed our stay very much and would certainly consider it again as long as we didn't need to be on a beach.

Rooms have been updated since last stay two years ago. Bed was comfortable. Nicely decorated. ONLY had one set of electrical plugs in the room. NO plugs in the bathroom. With consumers having more electronics this is a MUST. Location was great again. Walk everywhere etc.

Basic hotel. Decent for a night or two.

This hotel was spotless clean. The housekeeping is the best part of our stay. We have stayed 2 years ago and the kitchen staff was pleasant, food was okay and they were attentive to our requests. This time the morning staff was terrible. Daniel the Capt tried daily to fix the issues. Frequently told no to requests for flour tortillas, juice, salad dressing etc. The bar staff was attentive and very friendly. Thank goodness Alejandro was hired for the evening. We had the kitchen store our fish after catching 2 mahi mahi and it was misplaced and the staff was uninterested in finding it. Alejandro made it happen and after a wait it was located. The front desk frequently provided incorrect information regarding laundry and services available. Hugo the door man was excellent. Happy and friendly and worked hard at providing information in the area. There was no snacks or lunch by the pool but covid I suspect is that issue. Although I love the marina area I believe we will try another hotel next visit. The menu repeats every 7 days and everything is covered in red sauce. Many meals we ate outside of the hotel as the food was often cold and when requested to reheat or warm was told not possible. I wish Daniel and Alejandro luck as they have their work cut out for them.

It’s ok for what you pay for. Has a mildew smell.

Food delicious especially the fish. room 406 wonderful . Peaceful

State was good location was excellent. Service was good. Rooms a bit outdated and walls are thin. Good value otherwise considering it's on the Marina. Close to food and the airport.
