Harpoon House

Nice enough place but very noisy so if you are travelling with a family I'd suggest not booking here as you hear the music downstairs till past midnight and for the price I'd say it wasn't worth it. If you are there to party this place is for you!

Great comfortable room

We arrived on a Sunday and our room was right above the day party going on in the Resturant below. We left so by the time we got back it was done, but if you are planning an afternoon nap on a Sunday forget it lol. Our TV wasn’t working and the worker helped with what he could but we wanted to on demand and it wasn’t possible so watched Netflix on our little phone, should have brought the iPad. Other wise the place is clean, bed comfortable and in a great location.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Harpoon House. Very Nice staff, complimentary bikes to ride, and when we informed the restaurant downstairs that we had just got engaged, they have gave a free bottle of champagne, not to mention they give you a lovely free breakfast at a very nice Cafe about a block away. Very lovely place, hopefully will be back soon!

We had reserved a "Supreme King" room. When we arrived we were shown to a smaller room with a Queen sized bed. I showed the young girl at the reception desk our Expedia reservation. First she said they had just given the last "king" room to someone else then, after speaking with the manager, the air conditioning in the "king" room we were supposed to have was not working. Their resolution was to offer us a $100.00 credit at the Blu Mar restaurant for dinner instead of a credit on our room. We changed our dinner plans to eat there instead. We were informed "quiet hours" started at 11pm out of respect to the guests. However, Blu Mar was also a club and since our room was on the same side of the building it was quite loud with people and music until well after 1 am. Then there was a guest with the barking dog at midnight that also kept us awake. In the morning we were awake at 8am and ready to start our day, but the shower did not have water. The price of the room included a breakfast, so we headed down to eat and thought we would just tell the receptionist about the issue and they could address it while we ate. There was no one to be found. The restaurant was closed and there was no receptionist. We called the number on the website and on the Expedia site. Found out at 10am breakfast was off-site but that information had never been provided. A temporary fix was made to our shower but, the drain was clogged and back filled into the shower spilling onto the floor.

No ice machine. No coffee maker. We loved our room. We will be back!

Weekend getaway for my fiancé and I. Love the inn. Very comfortable, loved the room setup. Complementary breakfast was at a restaurant down the street. Very nice restaurant and food was great.

The Harpoon house was lovely. The location was perfectly located on Main Street which offered multiple restaurants of high quality to choose from. The yard was quaint with lots of trees and a hammock to enjoy. Our room was decorated with Picasso replicas, a large soft bed and a bathroom fit for a queen.

Its the perfect location to all the shops and restaurants. Walking distance to everything!

We arrived and luckily the housekeeper did her best to help as no one else was there. The room was remodeled but the walls are paper thin. As guests arrived during the evening you could hear every conversation and step. I did not realize that pets were allowed. A vocal canine took a while to settle. Annoying when you are trying to sleep. We left in the morning and again no one was insight. Coffeemaker was great but bottled water was not provided. This facility is attached to a restaurant- it was not an issue because of limited diners but could be a potential problem if crowded.
