Worst hotel experience I've ever been through
I've stopped in many hotels/apartments around the world and this experience was by far the worst and would like others to know. I booked an apartment with this company several days before we were due to arrive for me and my young family to have an overnight stay in Newcastle. The communication with the owner was totally unprofessional and border line criminal I messaged him the day before we were due to arrive because the check-in details were extremely vague with no details of the apartment number or access codes just an address of the apartment location. When we arrived in Newcastle ready to checking I messaged the owner again for check-in details this time via text because I had not heard anything from my previous message he asked who I booked with I replied saying Hotel.com he didn't reply until 4 hours later and told me to contact him via WhatsApp. Another hour later he gave me an address of another apartment to stop by this time we were ready to leave Newcastle and wanted a refund due to the long delay He then proceeded to aggressively verbally abuse (including foul language) my wife and I on the loudspeaker saying that he was trying his best and he had a large work load this was all within earshot of my young children who were really scared which we recoded. After this behaviour we had no choice but to travel another 200 miles home because of the nature of the conversation and the frightened state it had left my wife and children.

Not good
Supplier took my bond then informed us that the appointment we had booked wasn’t available due to maintenance issues. We were offered an alternate in Newcastle. The area wasnt the best. The comunial door did not lock. And the fridge did work. I reported these but they were not rectified. Now 5 days after check-out I have not had my deposit £100 returned and they are ignoring my emails.

Not too far from the centre and peaceful
The location is brilliant for the view of the bridges and easy to get to town via the millennium bridge (walking). The apartment is very plain but comfortable. Gateshead Metro Station, a large Tesco and other shops about 15 minutes walk.

Flawless check in, great communication with the host. Apartment was as described. Clean and had everything needed for a family stay. Perfect location too - 5 minute walk to Newcastle Quayside.
