We’ve been staying at Costa Sur since our family bought a timeshare in 1982. The staff is friendly, and I always feel safe there. Now with Covid, it feels even safer. They take you temperature every time you enter the property and the restaurant. The facility is very clean, especially the rooms. Can’t wait to go back.

We had a great time! The ocean in front of the hotel is amazing! I saw so many schools of fish. The restaurant staff was friendly. Good food. The room is big and has a kitchen. We loved everything! Only thing that wasn’t perfect was that they didn’t know our reservation included breakfast at the time of check in. We had to show our reservation confirmation.

Our experience at Costa Sur was beyond fabulous!! First the staff was exceptional. They were not just friendly, they all became immediate friends that cared and were helpful in every way. Second the cleanliness was amazing. The rustic beauty is made all the more first-rate by the sparkle of the rooms and all the facilities. Third the food and drink. The chef, the kitchen, and the bar, are all experts in presentation and range of delicious options. Fourth the location. A short distance south of Old Town via a 10 peso bus ride or quick taxi, you are close to the action but far enough away to feel secluded. Plus the sunsets are sensational, the ocean cove is perfect, the pools are warm, and the patios delightful. A special shout-out to Jose Garcia and every single staff member for making our stay more, bigger, and better. We will be back!!

The only affordable option beachside with a kitchenette left in Puerto Vallarta. Staff is super friendly, prices are affordable. The building is aging and some parts at in disrepair, but overall it’s well maintained property. I like the rustic feeling of the hotel. The only drawback is the small beach and the fact the pool and beach space is not enough for the hotel at full capacity. Good for a cheap secluded place in low season.

Staff was very welcoming and always helpful. Loved the view from my room. The only thing that was annoying was this guy who harassed us in the lobby about going to go see some program or show at another place. Didn’t think it was appropriate of him. Other than that everything was great!

Quiet out of downtown but close enough for cheap uber 57 pesos

We were fortunate enough to meet with the owner of the resort. He actually made to time to join us for breakfast one morning. It became apparent that he is the motivating force behind the staffs exemplary customer service. Everyone greets you with a smile and is fully committed to making your experience above all others. We stayed for three weeks. During that time, we built friendships with several of the staff. It is apparent this level of customer care is the culture at Costa Sur
