Handy location for bars and restaurants , kind and helpful staff. Had a basement room, would have preferred one elsewhere especially on bin day. Very noisy very early. Overall a good hotel at a reasonable price.

Perfect place to stay! The hotel was the perfect location, conveniently located on the Main Shopping street (laugavegur) which was easily accessible to restaurants, shopping, and all of the attractions in Reykjavik. The woman at the front desk with dark curly hair wearing glasses was AMAZING and answered all of our questions upon arrival and offered us many recommendations about the city and and for seeing the northern lights. Complimentary breakfast was not only a huge money saver, but also very delicious! There was options for everyone to eat and the chocolate chip granola bars were amazing! My boyfriend and I ate several at breakfast (and on the go) during our stay. The rooms were super clean and cozy and even had complimentary shampoo and conditioner. There was a small parking lot in the back and we had no issues getting a spot each night as we returned from our day trips. Definitely recommend!!!

picture is miseading as our room (corner room) had no view and balcony was only accessible from shower. As there were other hotels around one could only have privacy with all curtains drawn. Good shower, bed and breakfast, even parking space. Location good but on main road (though good for pick-up spot with excursions). Rooms are clean, have a hairdryer, fridge, safe and ironing board. Dim lights and confusig light switches are a pain though.

Fantasic hotel, great breakfast, great bar, close to all the shops. A short walk to all bus stops, tours, and ocean. Would reccomend this hotel, and would stay here again.

Everything was perfect. We actually upgraded our room and extended our stay. The staff was above and beyond in customer service. The hotel is clean and well maintained. Literally steps to the bus stop. Great location. Simply stated, excellent. Would definitely recommend and should I ever return to Iceland, Center Hotel will be my first choice. As an added bonus, we even got a glimpse of the Northern Lights from the balcony one night.

Perfect Hotel in Every Way!
We loved everything about this hotel! The location is perfect as bus top #9 is right outside and 3 more stops are within 2 blocks. One of the indoor/outdoor geothermal pools is 4 blocks away. The hotel is on the main party road Laugavegur with plenty of nightlife and restaurants. The staff was incredible and readily assisted with anything we needed. The room was nice, clean and properly stocked every day. Lastly, the brunch was wonderful with several options of local foods like pickled herring and beets along with the standard eggs, bacon and assorted breads. When we return to Iceland we will definitely stay at this hotel!

Perfect Hotel in Great Location!
Perfect hotel in great location. The included brunch was delicious and offered a variety of local and staple foods. The room was a standard European Queen (2 twins next to each other), TV worked fine and offered BBC, and even had a towel warmer. The staff was very helpful as well.
