Great stay
Just a one night stay but very happy with everything. We went early to leave luggage and our room was already available. The staff dealt extremely well with being descended on by hoards of football fans being polite, courteous and helpful. Bar open late and reasonable prices. Very comfortable beds.

Phone in rooms don't work! I kept being told mine would be repaired but it wasn't. After three days of complaints and many assurances that it would be fixed, a manager finally admitted that it was a widespread and on-going problem in the building, having something to do with the company that provides their internet, and one that they were unable to do anything about! Of course, few people use hotel phones any more for outside calls, but it is important to be able to call the desk in case of emergency or for some other reason. Your customers should be aware of this problem before they book!

week in Leipzig
Spent another week with Express in Germany (last year in Dusseldorf,) and had a lovely time. The staff is very pleasant, the room spacious and spotless. Great WiFi. Great free breakfast. one block from the major train station and all traffic hubs. A quick 4 block walk to the Opera house and the Leipzig Market.

Very good value for money
Booked this hotel for a short 1 night stay and it is the usual Holiday Inn Express standard. Clean rooms, comfortable beds and quick check in and check out. Very good value for money also considering that the hotel is brand new. I would book again.

The phones in the rooms don't work at all. The receptionists can't even help you with that and even give you the wrong information about it. I asked what the charge was per minute for a local call and they said they do not know. The receptionists are not very friendly, either, compared to ones I dealt with at other hotels in Germany.

The receptionists aren't that friendly or helpful and have no idea about what phone call costs from the room phones are for guests. Even the so-called managers say they don't know what the rates are. The maids need to clean the nightstands better and need to be reminded to replace used coffee cups, coffee packets, and toilet paper with new ones.

Very convenient location as so close to main station and city centre Looked like it was built very recently so everything pretty new. Room was small but very well laid out and had everything we wanted. Though hotel looked quite full we didn't get any problems with noise.
