A Nice Place to Visit
Interesting interior and motif. Plenty to look at. Lots of sunshine pouring in. Handsome room, very clean bathroom, large walk-in closet, big screen tv, complimentary breakfast in the morning. Bring a jacket and hat. The streets outside can be very windy and chilly. Nice working fireplaces to sit in front of and get warm again. No ghost sightings. Did hear a few strange tapping noises.

Friendly Staff, Nice location, room to improve...
This is a nice, quiet and convenient location. The staff is quite helpful and friendly. There are two negatives I must however mention. There is a septic-type smell just as one enters the reception area. I'm not sure why it is only there, but it is. The second - and more pressing issue - is that the water used for the tea had a bad taste. I asked the staff what water they were using, and I was told it was filtered tap water. I would suggest they take care of this asap, since....well, It is called the "Queen Anne Hotel" you know.

Heavy, Musty Victorian w/Greedy Management
I messed up my dates and arrived a day earlier than my reservation. The woman at the front desk helped me find another place to stay. Mine was a non-refundable booking, but I requested that the one night I would not be staying in the hotel be refunded. tried to get this refund for me but the hotel refused, which was valid but not customer friendly. A better response would have been for the hotel to have said they would refund (full or partial) if they could book the room for that night; it was a very busy time in San Francisco and I'm sure the room would have been booked. It was my mistake, but I take their refusal at least consider a partial me as being greedy and uninterested in future business. The one night I stayed was pleasant enough, but the vintage Victorian environ was not something I could appreciate; it seemed heavy, old and musty rather than historical and charming.

Old Queen Anne
The location was great. The staff was nice. The hotel is run down. Peeling paint, carpet poor, septic smell in the lobby everyday.
