    Proximity to Northeastern University
Vintage hotel in fabulous location close to Northeastern University. Management has made clear attempts to freshen the property and provide excellent service. Our experience was hit or miss, depending on the day. Management made sincere strides to make it right. In the end, it is just a space to sleep with an unbeatable location near NU.

    Great location, but...
This hotel is very convenient to Northeastern University and Back Bay; it is directly across from the Christian Science campus. The location cannot.be beaten. However, just about everything about this hotel is dated. The beds were tiny and uncomfortable. The room temperature was almost impossible to control - it was hot for our entire stay. The walls and finishes are all dinged and dented. The hotel is safe, the staff was very friendly, the room was fairly spacious, onsite parking is a plus (for a fee that is typical of downtown Boston), and the hot water was plentiful. but for the price, this fell far short of expectations.

    Stay Away
I would not recommend staying here unless it’s a last resort. I selected this hotel based on the location and that was the only positive thing I can say about this hotel. It should be listed as a Motel. The lobby looks great but the rest of the place is a dump. Dark musty hallways. The carpet in the room needs to be replaced the exhaust fan in the bathroom looks as though it has never been cleaned. My room was not properly clean even after I left a tip on the first day. I don’t like to bash hotels but this place needs to be renovated. The woman at the front desk was very helpful and I did appreciate the fact she let me check in early after traveling all night. I would suggest to pay a few extra dollars and stay somewhere else.
