Over priced! Had us thinking that we was getting a room with a city view and huge bathroom. Room was small, dark and cramped

The hotel has an old feel to it, in a good way. I know the building is very old & I like the whole aesthetic of the place. My issue is that I paid for a room with a view & my room was facing other rooms, couldn’t see 1 bit of the city & I prepaid for my room thinking I would have a city view. I wish I would’ve taken a pic of the lack of a view to show you guys why I was annoyed. It was such a long day, I didn’t even have the energy to go demand what I paid for, so I just took the loss. Also, the rooms are pretty small & have no microwave or refrigerator. Otherwise the bed was pretty comfy, the hotel was clean, couldn’t hear my neighbors on Valentine’s Day, so that’s a plus. It’s in a super convenient spot though. I’d stay here again, but would probably make a bigger deal out of paying for a room with a view & not getting 1.

Our bathroom floor was dirty, pieces of paper and flakes of something unidentified, A broom would have solved it. Dirty streaks in the bathroom floor where people don't walk. Streaks were there. In Covid era, hotels should be ultra-careful regarding cleanliness!! Otherwise, we had a very pleasant anniversary stay.

Down graded bed size to have a room with a “view”. Very disappointed (photo attached of view). Bed was full sized, not queen. Room was cramped. Bathroom so small that the door hit the toilet. Lobby and elevators dirty.

The Renaissance Hotel in Cleveland is an aging property that is well overdue for updates. You can park overnight in the hotel's garage for $32 or use the public lot for $20. The walking distance was the same, if not shorter from the public lot. The lobby was poorly lit, it just felt dark and the elevators were all worn and tattered from years of use. The front desk staff was friendly and very helpful. Our room was simply just ok, the king bed was comfortable, thankfully. The bathroom was also dated. It had cracking in the old tiles here and there, around the sink and vanity it was separating from the wall and caulking job around the sink and tub was awful, very unprofessional work. It's been several years since I've stayed at this property as I visit downtown Cleveland for overnight stays a few times a year. There are several other nearby properties for similar rates that are definitely better options. If it wasn't for the very clean room, comfortable mattress and front desk staff I'd be rating this review as poor. By no fault of the hotel, our most disappointing part of our stay was the guests in the next room. Sadly our rooms where adjoining with a communicating door. The door provided no sound dampening. The woman on the 2 hr late night call with her friend sounded like she was standing next to our bed which was on the opposite side of the room from this door. My wife and I thought it was simply people by the elevator that were lingering, sadly that wasn't the case.

Room was clean, woulda been nice to have a map around Cleveland in the lobby so we could see where we could go in walking distance. Parking garage was crowded but that's a parking garage. Had a great time and everyone was nice. Will stay again.
