Hotel is a bit old school but pleasent room i had had a fridge sink 2 element stove…
It was a very basic room. However, the price was right. The heat was minimal.

Awesome proprietor
I completely screwed up my check in date, but the proprietor stepped right up and forgave any cancellation fee and set me up for the next night. Also as I was travelling in #snowmaggedon2020 , he allowed a 1pm check in after my mistake. This will now be my go to stay while in Gravenhurst.

Well, you get what you pay for I suppose. Wasn't the worst motel I've stayed in. The door didn't lock so we had to put a chair in front of it at night. The walls were very thin, we could literally hear the people in the room next to us fart. There was no thermostat in the room, and when I called to ask if there was the lady who checked us in brought us a space heater that was very dusty and very noisy (we didn't end up using it. Could hardly hear each other talk over the noise it made). The room was kind of cold during the day and evening but at night the heat went up, and we were drenched in sweat. I wish there was a way we could have controlled it. Overall, if you are there just for the night amid a winter hiking trip like we were, it'll do as a place to rest when you are tired enough to pass out anywhere.

Not pet friendly. In fact, NO pets allowed. Other than that, a great place. Clean and tidy. You can tell that the owners take pride in their property. I liked it a lot.

Neil the manager is very friendly and was just an amazing motel manager The rooms were fresh very clean and a good size. We could walk to our venue easily. Neil recommender excellent restaurant. We will definitely go back to Oaks Motel. If you books this hotel Tell him Sandra's review sent you lol If you book here you won’t be disappointed Great motel for the price point

Nice hotel
The owner was pleasant and helped us find our way around the city. The room was clean and comfortable, but the beds left us a bit stiff in the morning. Overall, it was a pleasant stay.

Close to everything!!!! Very old decor ,but very clean!! Had a nice little sitting area outside the cabin!! Staff were great! Comfortable 😁
