I have no problems with pets being allowed, as we had our own small dog. It was annoying however, that after our first night, the room next to us had a dog that wouldn't stop barking. When we complained, at around 1230am, they came straight to our door and offered to move us, before even approaching the room with the annoying animal. We were not about to pack up and move at 1230 am. For one, we were already in bed for the night. The dog continued to bark the entire time we were in the room whenever the other guest was gone. Even at checkout when i complained all I received was an im sorry. Pet owners need to be informed that their animals should not disturb other guest at any time. Some sort of penalty needs to be applied to guest who's animals are disturbing others. We were on a romantic stay-cation that the enjoyment of was lessened by a barking dog in the next room. In general our stay was enjoyable. It was, as I've already said, annoying to have an animal in the room next to us lessen a romantic experience by backing.

Love the cookies they hand out at check in. Room was very clean. Bed was comfortable. Rooms are very spacious. Location is great. We asked to stay on one of the haunted floors. Caught a ghost on video. Wish there were more history photos of the hotel.

Arrived to the hotel with one of the elevators not working just to find out later this hotel is known as the 3rd most haunted hotel in the world. This should be disclosed while booking. Maybe some people enjoy this, I don't. I will forever investigate every hotel I stay going forward. We left by 8pm because of this. Very disappointing.

For the most part we like the hotel. But the first night we were there the heater didn't work we called to get it fix twice that night and they never fixed it and the room was so cold. We called the next morning and they finally fixed it by noon. They could've offered us another room or something maybe even a free night.

Check in was quick and easy and we were greeted with a cookie. Valet parking runs about $35 a day but you can get $25 parking for 24 hours in the lot next door which is very close. Room was very nice. We had a Alamo view with the large bathtub which was huge. Great views from this room and the bed was comfy and the room got very cold at night. Cons: Restaurant was closed most of the mid morning and pool is very small. Pros: Walking distance to most everything downtown.
