The only thing i did not like were the Stairs.. Lots of stairs.. but other than that... there was a small issue where i was actually Down Graded due to unforeseen reasons... But the Manager made it up to me Big time... I will always stay there when i have to spend the night in Strathroy

It was clean but dated. Not enjoyable experience. Nothing in shared kitchen for coffee.

Other than having to carry my luggage 3 flights of stairs and squeaking floor, it was very cozy, clean, comfortable stay. I recommend it.

definitely worth going back
Definitely cannot be afraid of stairs. This is such a quaint inn with great restaurant, and with a pub-like area, below. Claw foot tub was to die for. There is a train that goes by occasionally but have no idea exactly where it is.

Good 6.0
Not a bad hotel over hall but definitely not worth 163$ per night. The room was spacious the bed was in good condition although on a worn out melamine base. There was no suitable place to work with a computer, although I understand the Old style cachet but it has to be functional. The was some sort of small desk far from horizontal with a recliner chair that was worned out and in a perpetual recline position. Stone cold floor in the bathroom, cold breeze coming from the windows. There was a small artificial fireplace which was supposed to be helping for the heating, it wasn’t functional. Under the hotel (or part of the hotel) there was a restaurant/front desk and pub. The pub was nice offered a nice selection of beer. The ventilation was swinging from cool to warn all the time. As soon as you start to be comfortable there was a cool breeze coming in making you chill it was really annoying. But the food was really excellent. I think my stay would have been alot more pleasant in the summer.

Great stay
An older building with really nice character. The room was large, everything was clean and the bed was comfortable. I would definitely recommend.
