Washington Hilton

We enjoyed our stay at the Washington Hilton. Rooms are clean and the hotel staff does a wonderful job with keeping your room tidy and stocked while you’re gone. I did not like the fact that I paid for my room in full before we arrived yet they still charged my card $225 for an “incidental” hold. I also did not like the fact that the garage was completely full upon arrival both regular parking and valet meaning we had to find parking elsewhere which is very inconvenient with the amount of money you spend here. Needless to say, we enjoyed our anniversary weekend with those minor bumps in the road.

I was very disappointed with 2 main aspects. Initially the check in was very slow, I was in a line in the late afternoon to check in for over 30 mins, then I was told my room wasn't ready and I would be called when it was so I checked in my luggage as I had an appointment in town. As I did that, I received a text to alert me the room was ready but I queued for over 30 mins again to get my key!!! The hotel gave out water instead of appointing someone at the desk to speed up check in. I was late for my appointment. 2. On the day we were going to check out, the toilet when flushed suddenly overflowed. Within minutes the water had flooded the bathroom and was seeping into the hall Carpet, house and maintenance came quickly but our whole check out was rushed and I left behind makeup in the room as we had to vacate quickly. Overall, it was a disappointing experience

Our door didn’t close for the bathroom. My girl didn’t realize it until she was getting in the shower. Instead of offering us another room they wanted to have guys come in and fix it but we were only there one night? Sure let’s spend this time watching people fix a door that isn’t our. So we kept the room without a working bathroom door and got a little more comfortable over the weekend lol. We get woken up at 8:25 by banging on the floor about us and chiseling and all sorts of construction related noises that were unmistakably not another couple on the floor above having a good morning... the noise went until about 9:45 every minute or so. Not a very good time. Other then that and the staff were very polite. Only part I liked.

Great overall, but hot water took a while to get going in the shower

The hotel staff are very friendly and responsive. We had a block of rooms reserved and one wasn't ready, which was a bit of a bummer, but the rest of the stay was fine. Great location and would stay again.
