Wonderful place. The only negative I can list is that the room service food quality is average. But everything else top notch.

I like there are more then 20 different restaurants on site + retail stores for just about everything you ever need on daily basis. What I regret about the indoor swimming pool was not opened

I enjoyed the Edo room because of the unique Hinoki soaking tub. The hotel provided instructions on how to use it, as well as some complimentary sake to enjoy after the bath. This was just what I needed after my long flight from the United States. This is not my first time staying at the New Otani. I have stayed in the Garden Tower before and always find the staff pleasant, the rooms clean, and the breakfast enjoyable. I visited the Tower buffet breakfast and had a wonderful view of Mt. Fuji as I ate breakfast. I also appreciate the gym in the Main Tower. Many hotels charge for use but New Otani doesn't. Also, they've added some weight equipment and a squat rack machine since I was last here in April 2019. Definitely give it a try!

Such an amazing place. This was the start of our honeymoon and we started in style in one of the Edo rooms. The whole hotel is huge and immaculate. The service is incredible, but you are best to go downstairs if you have any complicated requests (we needed help with luggage forwarding, they have this service here but couldn't help by telephone.) We ate at one of the many restaurants which was lovely. It is a short walk to a tram / train stop. The gardens are also lovely. The only thing I would criticise is that check in and out is very slow. Also please note that all hotels in Japan do not allow early check in, including this one.

We always stay at the New Otani - I have been staying there since the mid-90s - the property is beautiful, the service is exquisite and friendly - it feels like you are staying on an elegant ocean liner —- From a practical standpoint, you can’t be more centrally located - and there is a superb small market in the lowest level of the hotel —- The Concierge is superb! They are super sweet and helpful - they follow up with you on your questions, they have incredible information about things and can book anything you need —-

I always stay here in Tokyo. It is an older style of Japanese hotel but well renovated and with the best of Japanese service. A highlight is the Garden Restaurant with its views of a stunning traditional garden with ponds and waterfall. It has an excellent range of restaurants and a gourmet supermarket on basement level. Short walk to subway. Easy walk to Imperial Palace. Great neighborhood restaurant street.
