Rude Desk Help
Lady at the checking desk was very rude. I reserved my room online for a smoking room ; she placed me&my sister in a non-smoking room. When checking in I explained to her that I had just renewed my drivers license & I had my old ones & the paper copy that DMV gives you when you renew your license until they process the renewal through their system for ID. She refused to let me have the room I reserved in my name because of this. I showed other forms of ID but she still refused to let me have the room. So we had to put the room in my sisters name & pay for the room with my sisters credit card, because she refused to let me use my credit card or debit card to pay for the room. After all this she tells us where our room is , but did not tell us that it was on the back side of the front rooms that face the parking lot. The room numbers are not listed on the buildings to let the guest know which rooms are in what building & the room numbers are hardly readable. After finding our room I went to take a shower only to find that the knobs that turn the water on were broken! I called desk & if they could send maint. to fix it & was told by the rude gentleman at the desk that the maintenance man had just left for dinner & he didn't know when he would be back. I ask him if he could move us to another room & he said NO ;I don't have another to move you to because we a full. I explained to him that I had to be up by 4 am He came to our room with parts to fix the shower & fixed left.SoRude

Never again
I like the hotel. The rooms are large and comfortable. The area is nice with many restaurants and businesses close by. The downside of my stay was that I paid for the room online with but the hotel desk clerk still asked for a $25 cash deposit when I checked in. When I asked if it would be refunded at check out I never got a straight answer. When I wanted to put the deposit on a credit card she backed down and told me never mind just to remember next time that it will be $25 cash. That settles it for me. I travel weekly to Tyler for business and I will not stay at this hotel again based on the "cash deposit" policy. The whole thing just seems odd.

No cooking pots, ect. Poor pool cleanliness.
We stayed from Monday to Saturday, upon check in we were greeted with not much kindness, but there was a little bit of a language barrier. Our room wasn't cleaned yet, so we were required to wait 30 minutes before we could see it. Of course, it was nicely cleaned, and we had no complaints with the room itself, the bathtub was a bit confusing on how to work, but it worked and that's what mattered. Anytime we had a issue, someone was quick to come and resolve it. Our kitchen had plates and silverwear, no cups to drink regular fluids out of, just coffee. And there were no cooking pots or pans, just a lid for a pot. We had to go buy a cheap set from the dollar store down the road. Wednesday we decided to try out the pool, once we got there we turned around and came back to our room. The water was so murky you couldn't see the second step down, and never saw anyone swimming in 6 days. That was honestly the biggest let down. The tvs are locked to tv2 and tv3 only, we brought a ps4 to be able to watch Netflix and couldnt. Local cable is available, but there's only so many channels. But great experience for the amount of money paid.
