Very nice hotel. The ambience was great. Hotel staff was great. I wish they gave free water instead of $6 bottled water. The room was very nice, spacious and clean. My only problem was The shower water wasn’t hot enough. It was Luke warm. Other than that very nice property!

I booked a suite here as a Valentine's Day surprise to propose to my fiancé and the hotel was gracious enough to allow someone to come in and decorate the room for the surprise without me having checked in yet. Thankful for the front desk service for helping coordinate that — and for bringing up a corkscrew when I realized that was the one thing I'd forgotten. It was a memorable stay! I do have two critiques though: The remote controls of the TVs in the suite didn't work well, lots of clicking the same button to get any result. And, the tub had some hair in it and was stained, so luckily we were only staying one night because we both did not want to step foot in the tub.

Very nice hotel. The staff at the front desk was very helpful and polite. However, a little disappointed that the WiFi wasn’t very good in our room, there is no complimentary water and the valet parking was incredibly expensive ($50!).

The staff was so friendly, the rooms were great, and we loved the location. Lots of dining nearby, Trader Joes, walking distance to the Mall, metro nearby. There was one section of the living room area that could have used a little vacuum attention, but that was not a huge deal. Overall very pleased.

Great Location and Friendly Staff
My husband and I had a great weekend in dc and felt very safe staying at the Melrose Hotel during the COVID pandemic. Hand sanitizer was readily available in the lobby and outside our room and staff maintained social distancing. The room was nicely decorated and the view from our window was awesome. The hotel is conveniently located between Georgetown and Foggy Bottom and is walking distance from the Lincoln memorial, a metro stop and lots of nice restaurants and shopping. The staff was very friendly and we had a great time exploring downtown DC and being able to easily stop back at our room for a break when we were getting tired of walking.
