This is in a lovely part of Vienna, literally a stone's throw from Schoenbrunn Palace. The property itself is also impressive, and the room I stayed in was fine with a comfortable bed and good wifi/TV reception.
That said, there were significant issues. First, the cleaning service was spotty. Only twice during my 6-night stay was the room cleaned, and I had to tell the Reception to have it cleaned... as well as... to get toilet paper, since the cleaner had not left any! Also, the cleaner left dirty classes and a trash receptacle in 3 parts on the floor.
Also of significance was the noise, which was almost ear-shattering an entire Saturday evening and early Sunday morning due to a large party/ball held in the hotel and its adjacent garden! I couldn't sleep most of that night and I suspect that other hotel guests had the same problem! I understand the hotel is a desirable venue for business meetings and parties. However, why should hotel guests have to suffer because of this? And not only the noise--but the inconvenience of having to wade through hundreds of unmasked (Hello! There's still a pandemic!!) revelers and be questioned by one of them at the hotel entrance about my "purpose" (I speak fluent German, which helped) for entering!
Upon checking out, I told the receptionist about these issues. However, neither a price reduction nor any kind of other compensation (like a free night's stay!) was offered. This is not a way to get repeat guests....
