Hospitality industry battling difficult times during covid. Was able to maintain level of service overall Room was very comfortable and housekeeping responded fairly quick.
The view was amazing. Very clean suite within steps to the beach. You could watch the sea turtles from the living room. I would definitely go back.
Fantastic view, excellent location, great staff, clean and comfortable.
We loved how close we were to the ocean and the views from our room. The grounds were well maintained and it was quiet and relaxing. The staff is very friendly and all made you feel welcome.
The Mahana is a really great place. We stayed there from Feb 4-8 for our 30th wedding anniversary and could not have been happier with the experience. The Mahana is in great shape, and we were upgraded to their 2 bedroom premium unit upon check in. The views from the lanai were so much better than we had even hoped for. Sipping coffee every morning watching whales and Hawaiian monk seals swim by and watching really fantastic sunsets every evening was fantastic (we even had one morning with a rainbow thrown in). We opened the sliding glass doors about 2 inches in the evenings and it felt like the ocean waves were coming right into our condo. Going to sleep and waking up with the sounds of such waves made this stay even better. The staff at the front desk were outstanding, and the furniture/accommodations in our premium unit were outstanding (teak wood tables and chairs, upgraded showers, etc). The sandy beach in front of the Mahana was really nice. We were able to go snorkling just down the beach about 100 ft and saw lots of fish, turtles, etc.
Stayed at the Mahana, in a different unit, 9 years ago and loved it enough to come back. This particular unit, however, was not to expectation. The walls were dirty and very scuffed. The unit wasn't dirty but felt dirty because of the wear and tear. The unit was also very poorly stocked for a condo. The kitchen needs more utensils and plastic cups for pool side. The Mahana property is unbeatable. I believe it is the closes property to the ocean in the area and every unit is ocean front. The common area is clean with a small pool and hot tub. Shuffle board ocean side was also pretty fun.
The view was amazing but the amenities aren’t great . price was high for cleanliness and quality and amenities were terrible
Right on the beach. Close to grocery store, restaurants, but far enough away from highway noise. Clean, staff friendly. Rooms are very nice, functional.
The resort was nice, clean and comfortable & right on the water as described, however, the view is directly between 2 mountains/islands and the sun set was blocked by them. If you want to get pictures of the sunset you need to drive to another location. No real activities at the resort. Our unit was at the far end so we had little or no interaction with other guest except using the elevators. If you want a lot of downtime this resort is the place to be, but if you want to experience more action/entertainment/people I would suggest to stay closer to Whalers Village. One thing that is standard at most places that this condo did not have is a magnifying make up mirror in the bathroom. Other than the mirror the unit had everything we needed to make meals etc. Overall the unit and resort was worth the money.
Fantastic property, right from check in to check out. I will he staying there when in Maui, as the location works well for the island. So close but far enough from people. Fantastic views and sunsets
