Central location. Nicely renovated room. Comfy bed. Loved that there was a deep bathtub but thought there should be a safety grab bar for getting in and out. Underground onsite parking cost $13.00/day. Lots of construction nearby but I didn’t hear anything out of the ordinary.
There are major renovations going on but we still enjoyed our stay and it was quiet at night.
I have stayed at this hotel perhaps 25 times over the last decade. It is getting a much needed face lift. One of the surprising - and unfortunate - things is that the noise is not from the construction, but from the patrons and servers in the hallways. The doors close noisily. You can hear every word said in a hallway. So, there is something not quite right with the reboot: new doors? Whatever the problem is, it needs attention.
Very peaceful and lots of comfort. TV is wee it tough to get to the CTV News but managed. Construction caused me to walk around the entire hotel looking for the entrance which is covered by ongoing construction! A main entrance sign would be helpful to new visitors. Great I could book via Expedia. This hotel is very close to the Halifax Infirmary and QE2 hospital a short walk.
Amazing customer service, friendly helpful staff, extremely clean and tidy
Our original room did not have hot water in the shower so we were offered a new room, this new room was less nice than our original room, the bed didn’t even have a comforter on it, our tv also wasn’t linked to Netflix like the other room so we could continue watching our movie, and the room was a lot smaller. I think we should’ve been offered the same room or a better one for the inconvenience of having to pack up and change rooms.
Great hotel. Walking distance to restaurants and shopping. Hotel undergoing renovations. Our room was lovely.
Stayed for a quick 10 hours between shifts and I’m a somewhat regular guest. Got the $100 incidentals hold even after explaining that I was doing such a quick turn around
Easy check in even though under construction. Front end really friendly
