Beautiful hotel!
From the moment I walked into the lobby, I received first class service. Everyone was friendly and the hotel was stunning! If you want elegance, than this is your hotel.
Hotel was full capacity but restaurants and pool seating were at 30% capacity...you do the math. Had to get up at 4:30a to get pool chairs each morning and not knowing the restaurant capacity issue, we had to do take out from the restaurants and wait 2 hrs for table in whalers village. Beach is also severely eroded, rocky once you’re past knee level and no resort beach chairs. To have any reasonable beach fun you had to buy or rent your own chairs and umbrella and bring them about 500 yds down the path. Not great given the price.
Nice hotel in a great location that has a fantastic pool and beautiful beach. Food was good. Rooms are nice and beds are very comfortable.
After we had to have our room changed because the adjoining room and it's paper thin adjoining door allowed the sounds of the large number of children and crying baby to seep into our room, the stay wasn't so bad. The crowded pool and closed grotto bar were avoided. You're better off with a condo with a private pool on Maui. Avoid the run of the mill resorts.
If it wasn't for the distance from Hana and the other side of the island this would be the best hotel on the island. That said it's certainly the best hotel in its price range and on its side of the island. The atmosphere is perfect exactly what you want for a Island getaway very clean modern simple and not overwhelming. While certainly focused on appeasing adults it's kid friendly enough to bring a family. Other hotels such as the Hyatt may have more for kids however they have so much that rather than relaxing parents will be focused on tracking their kids. The Westin has enough to entertain the children while always keeping them within eyesight in concentrated areas. Of course the food on Resort is a bit pricey however they try to meet those prices with a higher quality of food compared to other resorts in the area. Still the best food will be found from off-site breakfast spots such as Betty's and all the food trucks whose owners have defected from Top kitchens on the island. This will be where we stay for our next trip and everyone after it's the closest to a nice quiet adult only Resort without having to pay the prices of Hotel wailea. If you are staying as just a couple I strongly suggest getting a ground floor room with the Lanai open to the pool as it opens to the adults only pool.
There is no valet - You may or may not get housekeeping- way too expensive for what they actually are . It was an overpriced frustrating stay.
Amazing stay!! I would stay here every time!
Family-friendly, great pool. Snorkeling and sea turtles right by the hotel. Walking distance to nice restaurants
