I've stayed here at least 7 times and it's always a treat. Lovely beach, stunning views, and sparkly clean rooms make it so when you run out of energy, and collapse in the room, you're still hearing the ocean waves crash, seeing the long ocean view or enjoying some fabulous sunsets off Black Rock. Things to know: They've done a lot of adjustment for virus wary folk. The place sparkles. On busy days they have no reservation systems for breakfast, and wait times can breach an hour. I just loaded my fridge with breakfast snacks from the ABC store in Whaler's village instead. Secondary option, when I have a room that overlooks the North grounds, you can look out at the restaurant and see if the tables are emptying. The Whaler's village restaurants have opentable reservations, and they are especially necessary because they're removed almost all the wait-sitting. So an hour wait is an hour of standing around hungry. The long winding pool goes under bridges and snakes around like a river, the kids I see from the balcony have a grand time in it, and they have a lift to get old-timers in and out to splash around with the great-grand-kids. The place is a treat, expensive but worth it.

Overall, location was great and hotel was nice. Overall facility and rooms seemed a bit outdated and we struggle with particular front desk staff to get our rewards points added. Someone ultimately did help us and got that resolved.

Staff was friendly and helpful and the hotel was in a great spot for beach time, shopping and dining. The only complaint is that the air conditioning seemed a little inconsistent. This might have to do with the humidity though.

It was great! However- there was mold on the bottom of our showers curtain, and my bedding had a stain on it that was never changed throughout my stay.
