Nice hotel :)
We had a great stay in Dublin. However there’s a few things you should know before booking. One being there’s a night club under the hotel! We didn’t see it open when we were there but I can imagine that would’ve been a big no no. Another thing was the heating in our room was broken so we had the window open all night and walked into a sauna everytime we got back haha. The lady at the front desk was lovely though and it was nice to come back to a friendly face.

It's cheap for a reason.
I booked this last minute due to a work change and this was the cheapest available. It was only for sleeping in as I was working from 8am-10pm so I wasn't that fussed about decent facilities. Good job. There's a reason why it was the cheapest hotel I could find. It's not in the nicest area of the city and this is shown with the hotel door being constantly locked and having to buzz reception to be allowed in at any time of day. Check in is on the first floor, up a steep flight of stairs and no lift I could see. At reception the guy seemed p*ssed off that he had to check me in. I was on the second floor so another flight of stairs to get up with a heavy suitcase and bag. Entering my room I noticed the door next to mine looked like it had been prised open with a crow bar. I double locked my room when I got in. Fingers crossed. My room was basic, dated but clean. Bed is uncomfortable and seems about 20 years old, no house keeping in the three days I was there, shower just about worked, TV smaller than my iPad, and the heating (radiator) didn't work. In the evening you are serenaded by the bars and clubs directly beneath you until the early hours. I was was on my own and only there to sleep so that's why I stayed but I would not bring my wife and kids to this place. They wouldn't feel safe. On a good note, there a few decent Chinese restaurants next door and it's only a 2 minute walk to catch the bus to the airport. Apart from price, I'm not sure why you would stay here.

Too Hot
We stayed in room 204, which was an adequate size with an en suite shower room. Unfortunately, it was uncomfortably hot in the room. The floors felt like they were heated, this meant that the temperature in the room was too high. We tried to open the windows, only to find that our room was above a local bar that had a live band playing until the early hours. Therefore, the windows had to remain closed. There was a fan available, which was also rather noisy, but it really couldn’t make a dent in the heat. Having paid over £300 for one night I would expect better. I have paid less for five star luxury all over the world! I would not recommend this hotel if you have to stay in room 204, I cannot speak for any of the other rooms. I will certainly not be booking to stay here again. The overall impression was that of an upmarket hostel.
