Very comfortable stay, room size was upgraded without extra charge. Lovely big room. Light sleepers may not enjoy the roadside rooms, however this was very comfortable and really nice bathroom and powerful shower. Blackout curtains.

The bedrooms were well-decorated and characterful- definitely not motel style. The communal areas were charmingly set out and very comfortable. The atmosphere was true to the hotel’s past history and staff were exceptionally polite and accommodating.
