Room 5 is on the ground floor and is very noisy The kitchen is below and we experienced loud music which we had to ask to be turned down on several occasions

Great solo stay

Great location for visiting son at Uni. Staff really friendly. Room spotless- no problem with yoga on the carpet. Josh in the mornings great - didn't catch the name of the guy in the evenings - with a great mop of hair Felt safe and welcoming travelling alone

Convenient for Bristol

Good stay - great towels and really large room. Very convenient for Bristol. Parking limited and breakfast alright.
KNJ, 1-night trip

8/10 Very good

The room was in the eaves so headroom awkward on one side of bed. Differing levels in bathroom too. Reception service was a bit haphazard - hadn't a clue when reception unattended if they knew you were there. Parking was also a bit hit & miss and unclear, but it is the same price as overnight parking on the street.

Great location. Room ok but shower poor.

Very nice hotel for the money, no aircon but had a fan and the room was comfortable. It’s clean and in good condition, service was freindly, parking is minimal outside the hotel but on street parking was perfectly fine.

The Rodney provides an economical base for a visit to Bristol My stay was for 3 days - unfortunately the room was not serviced after the first night (but was on the second) Reception/check in was good with pleasant staff
James, 3-night trip

6/10 Good

Great location and friendly staff but it’s just too noisy for me. 6am bin collection across the road seemed to be endless- so unless you are an early riser be aware of road noise and external noise- everything else about the hotel was great 😊
Andrea, 1-night trip

2/10 Poor

Slept in basement under dining area which was noisy with large groups of shouting people, followed by moving furniture until 2am.
Paul, 2-night trip

8/10 Very good

Property has character but is somewhat dated in certain areas. Bathroom space limited and tired bathroom suite although functional. Access to the top floor is via a steep staircase which may cause issue for some persons. Breakfast was very good and good choice available. Staff friendly and eager to assist as required.

They should state they only have 7 parking spaces. They should also be clear that if there are no spaces you have to park on the street (a mile away in my curcumstances) I was in room 30 up three flights of stairs. The room was so hit i left in the middle of the night.
RICHARD, 1-night trip

4/10 Fair

First of all the staff are great and the breakfast was good, but it goes downhill from here. Parking is a nightmare and I had to park a distance from the property and carry bags in the pouring rain. Once checked in, I headed to my room which was very disappointing. A strong drain smell came from the bathroom which is the worst I have seen whilst travelling (Room 15), it smelled like the drains in Greece. There was mould all around the bath and soap scum was still present, the sink was also cracked. The room was tiny and had threadbare carpets and a light shone through beneath the door throughout the night. On top of this, noise travels a lot in this hotel, noisy guests downstairs, very very squeaky floorboards in the room above and the guest was walking around between 2am - 3.40am. Bathroom fans from other rooms seem to be on forever and can be heard humming throughout the night. Keen to say that I will not be returning to this hotel again when working in Bristol.

Used to be a very good small hotel. Needs to be better run and smartened up.

A convenient, clean, friendly hotel. Room was a little small but was only in it to sleep. Would recommend

2 night stay

Stay was great, would definitely return but request a room not on 3rd floor. We were made aware of no lift but stairs from 2nd to 3rd floor very tricky for less able. Everything else was perfect and amazing breakfast ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
