Fasano Hotels

For a small, southern Italian town, Fasano is a place of striking contrasts. The urban skyline features both Christian cathedral domes and Moorish minarets, a sign of the crossing cultures in this Mediterranean land. The peaceful, quaint atmosphere is quickly shattered with a trip to the bold, brash Fasanolandia; a high-octane theme park and zoo safari park. Even the architecture has many personalities: pristine, polished hotels sit beside crumbling stone villas. Whatever you discover in Fasano, it’s sure to surprise.

Things to see

Walking around the city centre of Fasano, you will soon be mesmerised by the dazzling white stone buildings. They shimmer in the sunlight, changing colour with the sky. Late Mediterranean afternoons suffuse the buildings with a golden-pink light. The Fasano Minaret is an arresting sight; soaring Islamic architecture in this town otherwise dominated by the grand churches of Catholicism. Down by the sea, in the blindingly beautiful resort of Savelletri has beaches of sand almost as white as the buildings. You can simply relax here, enjoying the warm Med, or you can explore the impressive Roman ruins of Egnazia. If you’re looking for an adrenaline high, head for the nearby Fasanolandia, a theme park fit for any thrill seeker. You can also encounter wild predators here, in the open plains of the Zoo Safari Fasano. Seeing big cats prowling around the olive groves certainly makes for a uniquely Italian safari.

Where to stay

If you are looking for a high-end hotel by the sea, where you’ll be pampered in flawless surroundings, head to Savelletri. More centrally, Fasano has several guesthouses, offering a rustic, characterful stay on a more reasonable budget.
