Roissy-en-France Hotels

Whether you’re here to explore Paris’s cosmopolitan charms, or simply dropping in for a few hours' sleep following a long-haul flight, Roissy-en-France lets you stretch your legs and unwind in luxury. Surrounded by the sprawling Charles de Gaulle Airport, you’re close enough to set your alarm late for early morning flights, or to land happy - knowing there's no need to fight your way across town once you're down. Don’t think a stay in Roissy-en-France is the end of your holiday, however, as green parks, high-octane roller-coasters, and secluded abbeys are all waiting for you here, on the outskirts of Paris.

Things to see

Get a drenching on the log flume, spin yourself dizzy on the carousels, or grit your teeth and close your eyes as the OzIris roller-coaster hurls you through its terrifying twists and turns, at Parc Asterix. Kids and big kids alike will love this varied theme park, which will leave you praying for a flight delay so you have more time free. You’ll feel a million miles away from the screams of the theme park, as you drive out to the peaceful Royaumont Abbey. The amazing Cistercian abbey, finished in 1235, is set into woods that warble with singing birds and gurgling streams. It also has some fascinating stories to tell, having been used as a military hospital in World War One. The hospital was staffed entirely by women, who ignored the British War Office’s advice to ‘go home and sit still’ - saving countless lives in the process. If the sun’s out, raise your pulse with a leisurely jog through La Vallee Verte park. You’ll catch glimpses of planes swooping into land, as you peek between the trees of the Vaudherland forest, while pounding across its soft earth.

Even in the budget options, soft, comfortable beds will tempt you to call it an early night - while satellite televisions, WiFi and fully stocked hotel bars will keep you entertained, should jet lag set in.

Where to stay

The main appeal of the hotels in Roissy-en-France is, of course, their proximity to the airport, and you can be comfortably though security - coffee in hand - just 30 minutes after getting out of the shower. If you’re wanting to take in a little bit of Paris while you’re here, then the suburb of Saint Denis gives you the best of both worlds, being close to the airport, and well served by the metro system. It’s also the home of the futuristic Stade de France stadium, which is the place to roar with the crowd as the French national rugby team barge their way over the try line, or to jump up and down as world-rocking bands roll into town.

How to get to Roissy-en-France
