How to get to Hangzhou

Hangzhou Xiaoshan International Airport is to the east of the city, around a 40 minute drive to the center. It’s difficult for foreign license holders to get permission to drive in China, so your best bet is to pre-book a taxi or shuttle to take you to your destination. Hangzhou Station in the center has fast, efficient train services which take you to many of the major cities across China. The fastest way to get around the city is on the Hangzhou Metro, and from the popular Wenze Road Station you can get into the center in minutes.
