Even after the sun goes down and it's time to leave the beach, there's plenty to keep you entertained in the seaside resort of Llandudno. The town, though small, has a lively and fun nightlife scene. From a large music venue that attracts international touring stars, to lively pubs with real ale on tap and local musicians playing live, you'll find something to suit your taste in Llandudno.

There's no shortage of drinking choices in Llandudno and the resort draws an especially large crowd of thirsty revelers on the weekends. Pubs include the cavernous Palladium, which occupies a converted movie theatre, and the budget-friendly and relaxed Carlton. You'll find most bars on or just off Mostyn Street, with the trendier places toward the upper end.

Housed in a former cinema dating from the 1920s, the Palladium is part of the JD Wetherspoon British pub chain. The pub offers a great selection of real ales as well as affordably priced meals.

Carlton
Set in the town centre, Carlton offers beers from around the world and cocktail pitchers. There is also a full menu, including Sunday roast, and regular events such as bingo and karaoke.

Live music
If a big-name act is touring North Wales, they are most likely to play at Venue Cymru, the area's premier music arena. Some pubs, such as the cozy Cottage Loaf, host local musicians at the weekend. If you are visiting during the summer, look out for the Llandudno Jazz Festival at Bodafon Fields and the all-day Access All Eirias pop concert, which is held at Eirias Stadium.

On the seafront, overlooking Llandudno Bay, Venue Cymru hosts concerts by well-known touring acts, and has a capacity for 2,500 standing guests and 1,800 seated. The venue's diverse calendar of events also includes opera, ballet, and theatre.

Eirias Stadium
Eirias Stadium mostly hosts sporting events, particularly rugby. The 15,000-capacity stadium also hosts outdoor concerts, including the annual Access All Eirias in June.

Theatr Colwyn

Cineworld
Whatever the big-box hit of the moment, you can expect to find it showing at Llandudno's Cineworld, a 10-minute drive from the centre. Note that tickets are cheaper before 5 PM.

Hit the nightclubs
On several nights a week, Club 147 hosts a buzzing nightclub in Llandudno. If you feel like travelling a bit farther afield, you can head for the seaside resort of Rhyl, 20 miles away, where you can dance the night away at such clubs as the chic Late Lounge at the Front Room bar.
